Hold on to Christ

Hold on to Christ
For when the world
May blissful be
And full of
Opportunity
Remember in
That ecstasy
Your eager hand
Has hold of Him
Who made it

Hold on to Christ
For when the war
Is waging long
The enemy
Engaging, strong
And seems the storm
Is raging on
Your fearful hand
Has hold of Him
Who stays it

Hold on to Christ
For when the shame
Of sin is all
You understand
And can recall
The debt seems so
Unpayable
Your weary hand
Has hold of Him
Who paid it

Hold on to Christ
For when your life
Has reached its end
The final chapter
Fully penned
Your spirit leaves
Its earthly tent
Your feeble hand
Has hold of Him
Who’ll raise it

William Haddad
Born in Lebanon, raised in Australia, born again in Australia and raised with Christ, seeking things above. Just a man aspiring to become all things to all men so that by all means I may save some. I owe all to the saving grace of God in Christ Jesus and much to His children whom He has placed in my life.
